Have PPPoE (DSL) had to set the MTU on a new replacement router to 616 to get some pages to load.
The old one was set to 1500 reasonable should have been 1464 - 1492..
Ping on the old router was not fragmenting until 1472.

New router is not loading some sites unless MTU is set to it's minimum value of 616.

Got an RMA on the new router but shipping it back will cost more than I paid for it ($34.95 on sale).

I should have known too good to be true (good) !

Can anyone suggest anything else to test...

Ping on the new router was 588 makes sense with a MTU of 616.

Recommendations on something less than $100.

I have $47.00 with shipping in one that is not doing what I need.

Having WIFI problems with the replacement router, dropping connection in the middle of a wireless print job.

Is the New router defective ?

The old router had it's power supply destroyed with a power surge while connected to a surge suppressor. Have not been able to find a proper replacement power supply.

Is the reason for the needing a replacement router.

Got a power supply for the old router today and it is working with MTU 1468 no packet loss.

    Can watch YouTube again.
