    MSN protocol..can't send files!

so mates, there is a rule, belonging to the enhanced one bundled with LnS:
    TCP:Block incoming connections (1)

if it's active, I can't send any files via MSN..
then, MSN uses ports from 6891 on...I created a rule to let TCP connection flow through those...and put it above (1)

no way...even if the rule opens ports from 6891 from 6901, I get a message in the log window saying that (1) is called to block port #6896! o_O

    how can that be? :doubt:

if anyone can help, it'll be much appreciated!!
    thank you!

sorry for being so late in replying, I just happened to be on vacation! :D

now, you can find the rule here attached:
    http://user1.7host.com/maiuebsait/sw/LnS/MSN_send_files.rie

I put it just before the "TCP:Block incoming connections" rule.
Tell me if you need any more details!

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

I don't see anything wrong in the rule, did you try to put it in first in the rule list ?

    Hi,

    possible problem :
    - the rule is associated with the wrong executable
    - the rule is associated with the right executable but the application filtering is not working (so the rule not loaded)
    - the rule is not applied
    - Look'n'Stop does not listen on the good interface (select manually another one)

You only can tell us which one is the problem :)

    gkweb.
