Some days ago I bought and installed Process Guard, great programm, but every time I start Windows I get the message: 'smc.exe tried to modify an existing driver/service named vsdatant' followed by 'smc.exe was blocked from creating a global GetMessage hook'.

I found a similar message at https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?p=595027. My question is: what to do, just deactivate the option 'show balloon alerts' or select under the tab 'Protection' smc.exe and activate under 'Other option for this application' the option 'Install Global Hooks'?

    Many thanks in advance.

It's part of your firewall and a trusted programme, so I would allow it.

    Thanks for your reply.

Under the TAB 'Protection' I selected msc.exe and enabled the option 'Install Global Hooks + Install Drivers'. I hope it was the right thing to do, anyway it solved the 'problem'.
