I am using MS Antispyware with Adaware Se and Spybot-search & destroy and i am really happy.
I am just wondering Before Microsoft bought GIANT. GIANT used to cost money and now its free. Aren't the programers getting payedo_O?

I assume the programmers get paid as i assume they are on a wage and not work on commission for the products they make.

Thats unless when Microsoft bought Giant they didnt make the entire Giant Staff redundant and just keep their Intellectual property.

    I believe not.

    You need Ewido for that.

Some trojans qualify as spyware, MS AntiSpyware would probably remove those...but for real trojan protection, you'll need an AntiTrojan, Ewido is nice enough.

I don't think there'll be any new features. Every month we'll have security fixes just like Windows! :p

Hi, an inside rumor ive heard suggests that in future versions of windows the security centre will be expanded to include a plugin feature for the Antispyware program and also Microsoft's upcomming Antivirus program, with a possible renaming to Microsoft security suit which will include Antivirus,Antispyware and a new full feature firewall.

Just a rumor i heard but makes sense, look for it Longhorn.

Not sure about the AV part though. Maybe MS' free AV will only be On-Demand.

As long as it remains free, you'll get access to new versions such as 2.0 to 3.0 free, but most likely that sorta update will be yearly or bi-yearly.

You'll have a free upgrade, but you might have to re-download the program from scratch...and there probably wont be phone support...you'll have to resort to the forums if any.

At least that's what I think.

    Have a nice day :)

    Regards,
