Good work to Malwarebytes, PrevX and EAM :D
Also Vipre looks like the new kid in the block. :)

How interesting that my Feb 21 post taunting trjam's inapplicable link to six month old data has been deleted from the otherwise precise scholarly technical discourse so prevalent at Wilders. Well, excuse me.

That link does not reflect exact current abstracts and has no relevance to this discussion outside of casual historical reference.

As I posted up in an earlier post here in this thread, an MRG forum posting of Jan 27 specifically states: Methodology and additional information will be available later today.
As far as I can determine to date, they have not made that available.

That said, my observtion "...since they (MRG) haven't revealed their current methodology my observation, 'They don't say...' can be held as accurate at this point in time..." should be held uncontested. At this point in time.

I believe that's the situation. I've noticed as of late many threats evoke csrss, Java or WMP to as a workaround to implement their exploits as most security apps trust them by default. As I haven't delved fully into those approaches I could stand to be corrected on that.

Always appreciated by some of us even if we don't always say so.

I'm going to see if I can get data logged for IP block, PM block and blocked by both. With any luck this data will have been logged for all the tests so far.

Bluepoint failed the 2/17 and 2/19 tests. I'm waiting for a response from Emsisoft regarding their two failed tests, nothing yet.

Are you trying to make a joke or are you really saying that this one glitch should cause abandonment of Prevx?

Zemana seems under-appreciated here. They've certainly made great strides from what was initially an antikeylogger only program to an across the board anti zero day application. Add to that the fact that with frequent year subscription giveaways it's virtually a free product, I'm surprised it's not getting raves (I guess the lack of scanning precludes that).
