I suspect 'some' irony in acr1965's reply. I could be wrong though.

You just need a math teacher who likes to play Party. Great math explanations occur when less expected... or not... :D

On the other hand, we're entering a new year quite soon, and I hope SAS team turns a new page in this old book.

Let’s just head-off the SAS apologists at the pass.

Let’s see, SAS is designed for malware in the real-world.
(We’ll pretend that the malware in the test are from the ‘fake-world’)

And, “no anti-malware solution catches everything…. It’s a good part of a layered approach.”
(We’ll just ignore that there are so many other products that are better parts of a layered approach)

I sincerely hope we stop hearing excuses and that SAS will resurrect their product.

I remember a time when SAS was a really good product and MBAM was the copy-cat upstart.

    That's been awhile...

:doubt: Not 100% sure about a trial period, but according to this link,

    Immunet Protect 3.0 User Guide
By: Support on: Thu 13 of May, 2010 14:54 UTC

    http://support.immunet.com/tiki-read_article.php?articleId=11#Installation

If you are installing the free version of Immunet 3.0, you will start with a screen that allows you to install Cloud, Cloud + ClamAV or Trial/Plus. Free, Trial, or Plus. Each of the installation types have a corresponding grid which details the functions of each. The Trial selection will allow you to try the Plus version for 14 days. If you have a license key select Cloud and enter your license when it asked for later during the install.

    Thanks De Hollander,
A 14 day trial is good enough.

I disagree. I am finishing up some tests I have been running today with the Plus edition and will post what I find later. I was one of the orginal testers when Al Hugger came here and invited us to join. I bailed later and have not used this product again till yesterday. I am a little bit amazed. It is lighter then WSA and right now has been chewing up malware almost completely today. I am very impressed.

oh well, very good detection but leaves behind more remnants then any software I have ever seen. MBAM had a field day trying to clean stuff up.

I will say that even Clam AV has risen to be equal with most here.
