    Hi all,

Is it possible to move the "scanlog_details" folder located under "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ESET\ESET Remote Administrator\Server\storage" to another drive other than local C: drive.

The RAC has hundreds of clients checking in and like to retain the scan/audit logs but move it away from the 'All Users' folder and into a bigger loal drive.

    The ESET Server is running:
    ESET Remote Administrator Console v5.0.119.0
    ESET Endpoint A/V v5.0.2122.1

    Thanks for your advise.

One way to change the location of the ESET Remote Administrator Storage folder, is to perform an in-place upgrade of ESET RA, by installing the latest version, (5.0.122.0), on top of the currently installed version, (which is 5.0.119.0).

During the upgrade installation be sure to select ‘Advanced’ for the ‘Installation type’, and then choose the ‘Modify paths’, option later on, so that you will be able to select the new location for the Storage folder, by clicking the browse button.

Here is a KB article that provides additional information on how to upgrade ESET RA:

How do I upgrade ESET Remote Administrator to the latest version?

    • You can also change the path for the ERA Storage folder by editing the Advanced ERA settings, although doing this after ERA has already been installed, is not recommended, as per the following warning within the description for this setting:

“Description: Warning: We do not recommend to change this setting after ERA installation…”

    1) Open the ESET Remote Administrator Console
    2) Click Tools > Server Options, then select the Advanced tab.
    3) Click Edit Advanced Settings.
    4) Expand ESET Remote Administrator > ERA Server > Settings > General > Storage folder: storage\.
    5) Type the path to the new location for the Storage folder, into the value field.
    6) Click the Console button, and then click Yes when prompted to save your changes.
    7) Restart the ESET Remote Administrator Server service.
