:) The survey says it was Der Bingle and his Christmas of white, but some how I remember something about a worm glowing. Then again some one named Hank was belting them out in Nashville also. Hay I don't know for sure, I was a baby, at least I think I was.

    Thanks

I Heard It Through The Grapevine ~ Marvin Gaye :D

is an R&B/soul song written by Motown songwriters Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong in 1967. Whitfield recorded several different versions of the song with several different Motown acts, and two of those versions became hits: one version by Gladys Knight & the Pips became a number-two hit in the United States in 1967, while a version by Marvin Gaye became a number-one hit in the U.S. in 1968/1969.
Gaye's version, the most notable recording of the song, was his first number-one hit, and was the most successful single released by Motown in the 1960s. Since the releases of the original hit versions of the song, "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" has been heavily covered, most notably an extended 1970 version by Creedence Clearwater Revival :thumb:

    Oo, Bet you're wond'ring how I knew
About your plans to make me blue
With some other guy that you knew before?
Between the two of us guys, you know I love you more.
It took me by surprise, I must say,
    When I found out yester-day.
    Oo,
    CHORUS:

I heard it through the grapevine,
Not much longer would you be mine.
Oo, I heard it through the grapevine,
And I'm just about to lose my mind.
    Honey, honey yeah.

You know that a man ain't supposed to cry,
But these tears I can't hold inside.
Losing you would end my life you see,
'cause you mean that much to me.
You could have told me yourself
    That you found someone else.
    Instead,

    CHORUS

People say you "Hear from what you see,
Na na not from what you hear."
    I can't help bein' confused;
If it's true, won't you tell me dear?
Do you plan to let me go
For the other guy that you knew before?
    Oo,

    CHORUS

    CHORUS
