Au contraire....Lucky Eddie remembers full well the song of the day!

It were "Skip to my Loo" ... melodically rendered by Buckie and The Rearenders. They subsequently went on to record such winners as.."Cement Mixer, Puttsy Puttsy" and "Blowing in The Wind"

"It's Been a Long, Long Time" - Harry James.

I was interested to see that Frankie Laine's "Mule Train" was the same date, only 4 years later. I could have sworn I was a lot older than that (but not yet a teen) when that was a hit. o_O

    The Andrews Sisters - I Can Dream Can't I

    (dream on, dream on)

    I can see
No matter how near you'll be
    You'll never belong to me
    But I can dream, can't I?
Can't I pretend that I'm locked in the bend of your embrace?
For dreams are just like wine
And I am drunk with mine

    I'm aware
My heart is a sad affair
    There's much disillusion there
    But I can dream, can't I?
    Can't I adore you
    Although we are oceans apart?
I can't make you open your heart
    But I can dream, can't I?

    I'm aware
My heart is a sad affair
    There's much disillusion there
    But I can dream, can't I?
    Can't I adore you
    Although we are oceans apart?
I can't make you open your heart
    But I can dream, can't I?

    Holy Refried Beans,

It looks like Big Becky's family reunion at his very recent B'day Bash! They performed a sing-a-long of the #1 song on the day he was whelped. It sounded like "Bebop Your Lulu" accompanied by 42 Bongo Drums! It brought tears to our ears!

Just read Tonto's memoirs. On page 42 he reveals that his sidekick's tune of revelance is "They Do Ron Ron, Yeah, They Do Ron Ron"! It was performed either by the "Ronnettes" or the "Troopettes"!

"Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding

    Sitting in the morning sun
I'll be sitting when the evening comes
    Watching the ships roll in
And I watch 'em roll away again

    :):Refrain:rolleyes:
Sitting on the dock of the bay
    Watching the tide roll away
I'm just sitting on the dock of the bay
    Wasting time

I left my home in Georgia
    Headed for the 'Frisco bay
'Cause I had nothin to live for
And look like nothing's gonna come my way

    So I'm just...
    :):Refrain:rolleyes:

    Look like nothing's gonna change
    Everything still remains the same
I can't do what ten people tell me to do
So I guess I'll remain the same

    Sittin here resting my bones
And this loneliness won't leave me alone
It's two thousand miles I roamed
Just to make this dock my home

    Now, I'm just...

The theme song on Prom Nite is "Sitting on The Duck by The Quay" by Big Duck and a gaggle of Goslings!

    Pretty close huh!
