More bad stuff

Hi guys,
A couple of weeks ago you helped me with my home computer. Now I need some help dejunking my PC at work. I am posting a hijack this log for you to review. Welcome Back !

As you have a number of issues, I suggest you proceed as follows:

First Go to http://computercops.biz/downloads-cat-14.html , and download the latest version of CWShredder by Merijn Bellekom, the creator of Hijack This. Run it, press Fix, and allow it to fix all it finds.And remember to click Fix (Not Scan only)

After its done its thing hit the How do i prevent reinfection tab....
In particular pay attention to the patches for the operating system regarding the ByteVerify vulnerability which is how you got infected in the 1st place.

When it is finished restart your computer.

Now, Download the latest version of Ad-Aware at http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

After installing AAW, and before running the program, you NEED to FIRST update the reference file following these instructions.

Now do the following:

- Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweak > Scanning Engine:
check: "Unload recognized processes during scanning."

- Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweak > Cleaning Engine:
Check: Let Windows remove files in use after reboot.

Press Scan Now

- Check option "Use Custom scanning options"
- Check option "Activate In-Depth Scan"
- Press "Select drives\folders to scan"
- Select the active partition which is usually C:

Now press Next to let Ad-aware scan your drives... It will find a number of bad files and registry keys. Right-click in that pane and choose select all Now press Next again. It will ask you whether you'd like to remove all checked items. Click OK.

Finally, close Ad-Aware, and reboot. That ought to get rid of most of your spyware.

When you've done that, restart your computer.

Now,please move HijackThis.EXE to a separate folder of its own. The program will make backups to the folder it's in. These easily get lost in a temporary folder or a folder with other programs or at desktop.

When done, re-run Hijack This, and show us a fresh log.

Took a few days to get this stuff done. Ok, here is a new log from hijack this. Also, I don't know how to move hijack this to its own folder, so I haven't done that yet. It's still on the desktop. Also, when I ran Ad-Aware, I just restarted the computer, and I noticed belatedly that you said to reboot and then restart the computer. I was under the impression that those were the same procedure. Is there anything we can do about porn e-mail while we're fixing all this stuff? I can't set security so tight that my customers can't e-mail me, but is there any kind of filter or something? Thanks

Above all, Sorry for that little mistake. I mentioned both Reboot and Restart one after another.

In order to move to Hijackthis.exe to a seprate folder, what you need to do is Go to C:\ and then Right click there, select new and then select folder. Give it a name, say Hijackthis. Now, go to your desktop, select the file, right click on it and select cut. Again move to C:\ and double click on the folder you just created for Hijackthis.Exe. When there, Right click and select Paste option from the popup.

When you've done that, Close all the window instances, Rescan your machine again with hijackthis.exe and fix the following entries :

The entry in blue color is optional to remove. These are either typically infrequently used tasks that can be started manually if necessary or a resource hog which isn't necessary for the operation of your system.

Reboot your machine and boot into safe mode by tapping F8 key(8-9 times) at bootup.

This may happen that file is hidden so first unhide the files using following instructions...

Search and If present, delete all the following file(s) and folder :

Oops.. Missed that one..

Well, are the email source is same everytimes ? I mean to say is it comming from the same domain name ? If yes then you can block the whole domain Or if not then you need to block each and every individual email.
