I noticed the AV and Antispyware scanner module updated 10/21/09. Is there a way to have a message appear in Tools->Log Files->Events?
    Version 4.0.467.0, XP PRO, SP3
    Thanks.

    Hello Thankful,

Are there any updates recorded in your events log?

    Thank you,
    Richard

Module updates are part of the signature database updates so module updates are not logged separately. However, a program component upgrade should be logged (no PCU has been released yet for v3/v4).

It seems the only time module updates appear in the event log is when they're not accompanied by a signature database update, though this occurs very infrequently.

No. The only updates are signature updates.
I thank Rmuffler, Marcos, and stackz for responding.

    Hello,

Your request to have module updates logged in the Events section of the Log Files has been noted.

Yes, that would be a nice addition. If there are no sig updates but a module update, NOD shows the module got updated message, but if there is a sig + module update, it only says the sigs got updated with the on-screen notification.
