What do you mean ? All files can be checked by resident monitor. Do you mean any additional functionality ?

My understanding (and I could be wrong, I've never thought about it, I've always been w/ McAfee or Symantec and am switching because of Symantec buggy activation and McAfee's poor tech support) is that some scanners treat Office files differently and understand their native format. If that's not necessary, that's fine.

I'm kinda playing virus scanner catch-up since I never had to look for a scanner outside of McAfee and Symantec before.
