I downloaded and ran the Partition Manager 2010 Free Edition. After going through the process of repartitioning my singled harddrive (C:), it prompted me to restart my laptop to complete the process. Upon restarting and prior to opening Windows XP, the software ran the partitioning process. Upon completing the process it went to a black screen with "missing operating system" in the upper left of the screen. I can't navigate past it and am unable to start my computer.

Also, I have tried to create a recovery CD by downloading the program onto another computer but the "tools" or "wizards" menu options do not show a "Recover Media Builder" option.
