Misc. IE Settings

    Hi I am setting up spyblaster on my computer.And I have a question? Where it says Disable the IE Home Page settings area in the Internet Tools Control Panel. What happens if I check the box? If anybody can help Thankyou stuvvx

    Hi and welcome,

    If I'm not mistaken, that setting only ensures that no one else using your computer can manually play with your home page settings. It does NOT, I think, protect against such changes coming from malware or other "outside" sources.

    Maybe it's not a huge protection, especially if you're the only user, but sometimes handy in a multi-user environment.

    It should prevent "most" homepage hi-jack attempts by malware.
