I have almost now experience using the Mini Tool Partition Wizard bootable CD. It has many features but not all of the features of the "pay" product.

I have included the Mini Tool Partition Wizard bootable CD on both a bootable USB Flash Drive (Made with YUMI) and a bootable DVD (Made with Xboot), just in case I need it.

I'd be cautious about using this app to create 2048 sector aligned partitions. I tested it about 6 months ago and the alignment wasn't correct. I also tested GParted and it did create correctly aligned partitions.

Gparted is the only app that I know off that will align to 2048 sectors. It will align to the MiB or cylinder.

BootIt BareMetal will align 2048 sectors.

The Partition Wizard Linux boot medium doesn´t recognize the USB 3.0 ports in this computer.

I tried Parted Magic (which includes GParted) some days ago, and found that it recognizes these ports and also my USB 3.0 Vantec enclosure. I haven´t yet found a WinPE environment which does this without adding the drivers. Parted Magic is a really good recovery environment.

Paragon programs (at least the latest versions) also aligns partitions correctly.

    Robin,

Where did you get the drivers?

Yes, I nearly forgot about Parted Magic. A very good tool. Just updated to include the latest Gparted,Testdisk, and Clonezilla. Thanks for the info on USB 3.0
