Well, what do people think happens under Martial Law? I would hope the U.S handles a situation like the London riots better. Don't burn down buildings, loot stores or assault people, and you won't get shot, simple as that. London is a prime example of what happens when police don't act quick enough or tough enough.

You think that the US has a magic formula for suppressing riots ?

Well, think again and reflect on the Los Angeles riots in 1992. You always brag that America is bigger and better than anybody else - hell, you sure proved it beyond any shadow of doubt with that Jamboree.
    BIG is beautiful eh ?

The US Police were scared out of their wits. Cuddled together like frightened rabbits in their stations and dare not even stick their heads out of the door until it was all over.

The US military at the time ? Too busy playing toy soldiers to even notice it was happening.

These staunch All-American forces of security, law and order just let the riots burn themselves out - literally - sat back and watched whilst hundreds of people were injured, had their vehicles destroyed, their homes damaged and dozens of large buildings, super stores and shops burnt to the ground. Providing a looters free-for-all paradise.

So don`t come the crap about superior US ability and measures to combat riots - YOU HAVE NONE ! Or at least none better than anybody else and nowhere near the artistry of the Japanese or Chinese.

Before you criticize other countries, have a good look at your own pitiful inability to do the job.

    Confucius say :-
People in glass houses should not throw stones.

True about looting etc., but to play the devil's advocate (where is he btw), it's all too easy to discredit a demonstration.
