I used it years ago when they were using Kaspersky files. I don't know if they still are or not.

It`s eScan now. Easier downloading from Softpedia (uses official direct link). Pretty sure it does use BitDefender and its own engine. Works well on 64-bit, but is large, has FPs, and does suspicious activities according to Panda.

Its good IMO. It detects some system modifications as malware. Its kinda FP or may be not because cleaning those make no harm except restore windows original settings. It uses bitdefender which is quite good. Escan is quite consistent in AVC. It has got good cleaning abilities and can be used as portable scanner that can be updated.

Too many false positives and obnoxious animation of a hand squashing squeaking/squealing gigantic bug :gack: .
Played a couple of days with it last year - automatic cleaning can really make a mess...:D

Before running scan you were given an option to scan only/scan and remove. So, that can't be called as automatic cleaning I guess.

"...Playing with..." ( an image of partition is right beside me, ready to jump in ) means I do like to see how security app´s working when in auto-pilot (e.g. cleaning ) mode.

It only lacks the feature to selectively remove threats. Detection is quite good. never tried safe mode scan with this. I guess it will work....
