Why would I do that? If there's one thing I like to get rid of the most its gonna be Internet Explorer only. I'm not getting rid of Windows XP.

Recon you all missed the key factor:

"...a Microsoft representative, said the program was "only in BETA" and that "a fix was forthcoming."

If it's a BETA, why are they releasing it through Windows UPDATE? ? ? That's really bad, to have the public test more of their software riddled full of bugs.

    Cheers :D

    ROTFLOL :D

So all you can do is hope one of your friends hasn't used this anti-spyware tool.
and hope you can use his/her machine to download an alternative browser.
Doesn't this tool make a restorepoint before it deletes any crap?
nah, stupid question, after all it's Mickey Soft
You wonder where they test their software.
Or do they secretly use Netscape at M$..... :D

Not bad i say. M$ hit the nail on the head accurately.

I have to say I'm a bit perplexed about the fact that a BETA application of any sort was put into the auto-update.

Oh Boy ... I'm confused o_O I thought when I originally read this thread it was a JOKE? (as it was posted in 10F & Due to the intergration of IE into Windows XP, I thought it was impossible to remove it.)

But with some of the posts here, some posters seem to think this is true. o_O (or did I miss the humour?)

Could someone clear this up for me ~Please~ ... Cause I still think it's a JOKE. o_O

This is a hoax that trys to get you to uninstall antispyware apps and turn off Windows updates. Flexbeta fell for this hoax too.
