Microsoft updates IE11 to disable Enhanced Protected Mode by default

    this is strange. i did update tuesday's patches and my IE11 is still enabled, which is good:)

    It may show as 'enabled', however it may also be doing nothing. If there is a test to confirm that it is indeed active, or if MS were to issue an announcement then we would know for sure. I have not seen anything as yet. Let us know if you can confirm either way.

    It is still enabled for me too in Windows 8.1, maybe it was only disabled for Windows 7 users? No idea. I confirmed it is working via process explorer.

    The fact that this change was done (or not done?) goes to show how many plugins must be out there causing issues for IE users :(

    Read the comments in Neowin article. There are similar cases like yours.
