Microsoft pushing more people more people towards Linux

I just found out that Microsoft is going to implement a Windows 10 style update system for Windows 7 & 8.1 https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com...ervicing-model-for-windows-7-and-windows-8-1/. This really sucks for Windows 7 users like myself, I mean the whole reason I skipped Windows 10 is because I cant control the updates. And since you cant control the updates just imagine how many people are going to have problems with updates breaking applications. Its almost like they want to lose there costumers to Linux, I could see a lot of disgruntle Windows use buying Chrome Books or installing something like Linux Mint on there machines because they'll grow tiered of updates breaking things.
