Microsoft Publisher Alternatives

    Are there any good alternatives to Microsoft Publisher?

    There's the downloadable Ashampoo/ Softmaker 2008 which you can find at discounts regularly. And I suppose Open Office. Then there's online apps like Google Docs. IIRC MS Publisher 2010 beta should be free through October as well.

    OpenOffice won´t do it. Try Scribus, http://www.scribus.net/

    I recommend Adobe CS5 InDesign -- or QuarkXPress. Serif PagePlus X5 is also good for quick and dirty jobs, as is Scribus (GNU).
