    this is very good news. I still say this is the one piece of software that ranks among the best, free or paid.

    I doubt it. They never have been for me. More than likely my fault though, old laptop here.

    I hope it is Faster and has a Higher Detection-rate than the current one...:(

    I guess so, why would Microsoft otherwise bother doing all the work of creating the new antimalware engine and distributing it to all the users?

    Only problem I have, is it's slow when copying and pasting with MSE on-board.

    Anyone else have that problem? The fix going to address that? :/

    No issues. Copying what types of files, using what connection. What other security software is running?

    Scanning Speed: I didn't noticed such an Improvement...:cautious:
    Detection Rate: The upcoming AV-Comparatives will tell us...;)

    Thanks for the reply. I meant, copying say 20GB+ of music/video files from your C drive to an external drive USB 2.0. Just MSE running, slow down, no MSE, copy and paste runs smoothly.

    Might give the new version a go.

    Not that you really should, but try changing the real-time protection settings to - Scan incoming files only. Works like a charm.

    That same engine is in Win 7 Windows Defender, as well.
