Microsoft .net framework 4 client profile question

    hey wilders,

    just recently i installed this update because windows update said it was recommended. so i installed the microsoft net framework 4 client profile update but now i notice a process called mscorsvw.exe process which was not there before this update. should i uninstalled this update or just leave it?

    and what exactly is netframework 4 client profile for?

    anyone? im jst wondering if i should uninstall this update or just leave it.

    does everyone else here have this installed in programs and features of control panel?

    yea it installed with windows updates. i didnt use my computer for about 3 months so i was just updating it.

    is that picture from your computer?

    Yes it is.

    Give your computer a few days and see if the process is still running.

    I agree. Normally it's suppose to do it's thing then terminate the process and will not re-appear until the next Dot Net update. After a few days and with running the command from the site below, I terminated it and set it to manual. After a few days, I switched it back to Auto.

    hey ronjor, i see that your's is only 38.8mb, how come mine is 189mb??

    It's only one of three .net4 programs which probably adds up to the same amount.

    oh so the 64 bit one that came with windows update is larger?
