Microsoft Multiple App/OS GDI+JPEG Proc BufferOverflow Vulnerability detected?

    Hi. My Sygate Pro Firewall just gave me a warning pop up saying:
    [217] Microsoft Multiple Application/OS GDI+ JPEG Processing Buffer Overflow Vulnerability attempt detected (CAN-2004-0200)

    Does anyone know what this means? I am running XP home w/SP2. Thanks for any info.

    Hi chip718

    Do you have any more particulars on the circumstances that generated this IDS alert? It refers to an older exploit (Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-028) and if you are current with your updates/patches should not be a concern. Also keep in mind IDS will generate the occassional false positive.
