Read it for yourself and smile :D

Inspector Clouseau and Peter Ferrie of Symantec have been writing books about malware and reverse engineering, modern AV technologies and various concepts of technologies used in an AV engine. They are also writing a book on professional AV testing and choosing the best AV for your needs.

A must read in my opinion, both for end users like us and for developers who are relatively new and inexperienced in the security industry. I appreciate this move from Mike and Peter; it will help the "younger" companies move at least a bit forward. :)

Great news indeed. First hand info from people like Neitzel and Ferrie is allways valuable, and I also find interesting that third part (about elavuating solutions).

Yeah, i am mainly interested in the third book about testing. There are not many books about this matter and mosts are quite old/surpassed. And as those books are written by Mike and Peter it will be for sure a must-read for anyone. Finally a book which will educate av researchers and also av users. :)
    I can't wait to get this book(s)!

Anyone know the title of the book? Too bad that it would not be available for this Christmas season. Definitely a read mode when it comes out; nice break for someone visiting here too often.

Some queries removed as we have a dead link in the thread.
