Media Storage Detection

    Hello Guys,

    Is there a way to let ESET Smart Security 4 detect USB/Thumb drive when I plug it in? Unlike AVG 9 and Kaspersky, when I insert USB drive it will automatically detect and letting me know that I just insert a usb drive and will scan it for virus. On ESET SS4, when I insert usb drive, it does nothing.

    Please help!

    V4 scans files on removable media upon execution with maximum settings, including advanced heuristics. Advanced heuristics would also be used when copying files from removable media to the disk.

    It hard to understand...It is mean ESS 4 will automatic detect n scan it?

    As I wrote, v4 scans files on removable media with maximum settings. If an autorun Trojan is to be started automatically, the file will be scanned and execution blocked if a threat is found.
