Yesterday I got a popup message from NOD32:
MBR sector of the 1.physical disk
    win32\mebroot.mbr trojan

I downloaded the ESET removal tool, which found the trojan but reported it as inactive.
I even used another tool (from Symantec I think) whice reported exactly the same.
After that I run the repair console and used the fixmbr command.
    The warning keeps appearing!

Is it really inactive or is this just because the tools cannot really remove it?

If I plug in my external drive in order to backup my files, will the trojan copy itself to the external as well?

    Thanks!
