Has Acronis published the MD checksum for TrueImage11.8053_s_en.exe?

    I calculated it as MD5=8FF9D7C4D1B5417BA170428B2D1DA290.

Thanx, that means we are both in the same boat.
Acronis can tell us if the boat is sinking by posting the MD5.

    Hello Howard Kaikow and MudCrab,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for delayed response.

That checksum is indeed correct. It has been posted several times on this forum (for example, here).

If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues.

    Thank you.

Posting in the forum is a poor way to specify the MD5.
The MD5 needs to be posted at the actual download page.

Note that I speaketh with forked tounge, as I have not yet MD5 values at my own web site. Bad Howard, Bad!

Indeed the correct process needs to be explained at the download stage I think. The files are big enough for potential errors, and then I'd guess a lot of people download the software thinking it's going to help them with a problem they have i.e. maybe they have flaky hardware they're using to download-and-store-then-install the package!!!

And most people don't know how to spel checksome much less no what an MD5 is! ;)
