Is Mcafee falling from grace or what?
In a recent test in a Danish PC Mag ( PC Pro) a very serious and indeep mag ( no Cnet people there) it was number 8 out of 9 virusscanners tested.
The only one that did worse was e-Trust EZ Antivirus 6,0
Nod 32 did not participate in the test.
The reason for me to post, is that im very surprised, that McAfee did so bad. Ive always regarded it to be one of the better AV scanners around.

    There was many reasons.
It was actually not crap, and VS7 is to the homemarket, and was adequate, they said.
    The listing was.
    1. Kaspersky p. 4.0
    2. Norman VC 5.4
    3. NAV 2003
    4. F-secure AV 5.40
    5. Sophos AV 3.59
    6.PC-Cillin 2002
    7.Panda Titanium
    8.Mcafee VS7
    9.e-Trust EZ AV 6.0

PS. It was in the scanning VS didnt do so well.

    Hi Tech.
It looks to me,in the danish test anyway, that they have testet 8 home edt. and 1 coporate.
Their end result is basen on a lot of parameteres.
Funktions, ease of use, precision, speed, price , effectiveness, and there are even on called - if the heart decides.
Perhaps too many, cos if you only look at the effectiveness, sophos seem to be the winner, togheter with Kaspersky.
    Regards Ole :D
