MBAM found Evidence Eliminator as Rogue Sofware!

I know that Evidence Eliminator is definitely NOT a Rogue Sofware!

One more FP for MBAM (?)

Wouldn't you rather post this at their forum? They have their own subforum for fp's.

The only rogues I add have to do one of the following :

Advertised by trojan (either directly or by shortcut drop)
    Installed directly by trojan
Are rebrandings of rogues that are covered by the 2 preceding groups
I sometimes add rogues that use aggressive email or forum spam

I will look intio this now to see if I was in error or if this is no longer rogue .

I'm sure Nick will chime in and offer up his $.02 on EE. Personally I think it's garbage software and I too am glad that MBAM detects / removes it. :thumb:

Maybe Evidence Eliminator also eliminates its own evidence of spying on the user, who knows.

Sometimes a strange feeling to test gloomy, limbo kind of stuff with almost knowing that it will screw my system.More so to test my rocksolid recovery solution. So i have no worry at all !! :D

    Hi:

Is a rogue ware equivalent to a malware ?

And is the job of detecting rogue wares a integral part of any given main stream AM(AS) ?

SAS, and other major leaguers couldn't care less, why do we ?

If your bet is off mark, you may have to book off a steak dinner. But you box is still intact. What if they are wrong ? *puppy*

Ronjor is right. 2 years ago I saw EE fry a computer quicker then 220 volts. Bad software, really bad.

Any form of fraud + application that is supposed to protect/fix your system = rogue .

People that paid for MBAM will not get the chance to be scammed by any rogues that I find .

    Hi, excellent assurance.

One quick question: does MBAM's real time scanner detect any rogue applications? Do I still need Rogue Remover pro ?

    Re: MBAM & Evidense Eliminator

I been experiementing this week with EE myself and although on the surface it seemed to severely deep clear areas, i experienced issues completely aside from the adverts being of some users concerns and untill i can get a confirmation on just whats happening i since have aborted my interest in it.

It maybe be something overlooked like a setting or such but it did a real good number on my test drive that repeatedly returned me BSOD's and ONLY windows CHKDSK was able to revive it to boot up again.

I noticed since i uninstalled it the issues have completely ceased.

    Re: MBAM & Evidense Eliminator

Evidence Eliminator is not a rogue app. I have used it for years and I have tried every trojan scanner, every AV and AM and none of them has ever found anything wrong with it. Clearly MBAM is poor quality software. Use something like SAS.

    Re: MBAM & Evidense Eliminator

This is far more simple than everyone is making it seem .

In this thread the experts are stacking up to say that EE is junk .

Everyone here has google and can verify anything that they want.

MBAM has an ignore function so in the future stuff that is bad but you want to keep will not show up in scan results again .

I have been dragged into enough these last few weeks , can we please just drop this .
