Tempted to give maxthon a try.

 

I've been using it relatively regularly for a couple of years now. I first used it with the Gecko engined #2 series. I used Maxthon #3 a lot, especially as a portable. I think Maxthon 4 is probably the best version yet, although its first incarnations were 'Windows 8' ugly. They have improved its skins greatly.

It has a lot of features built-in, including an adblocker (it's not a bad adblocker, but not as good as ABP). So it doesn't really need any extensions, although they are available. I only use Flash Block & Maxthon Flag (Flagfox equivalent).

The cloud aspect, is completely optional, & I don't actually utilise it myself. It is also very fast, in fact, it feels like the fastest browser I have ever used.
