Maximising Windows VISTA security with LUA and SRP (even without ultimate)

    I see and thanks a lot for the quick reply!

    Before I use it on my win 7 I want to test it on my Vista HP SP1 yet cannot access gpedit.msc

    run -> gpedit.msc -> win cannot find....

    could it be DefenseWall running in the background?

    On Premium version, gpedit.msc is not available.
    So either you feel like using the reg hack, or using PGS (pretty good security).

    The second option is by far the best and was designed by Sully from this forum.
    There are threads on this purpose with more information than needed. Please feel free to ask there if you had any question.

    If you want to check that your permissions are configured correctly, you may wish to try Windows Permission Identifier (free). Users of LUA should check out example #1 in the aforementioned thread. Users of SRP should check out example #2.
