The best test you can do is one that you design and run yourself, knowing your needs, local security setup etc. There are lots of tools to perform such tests. For free ones, see e.g. this overview of security/forensics-focused linux distros.

If you mean some firewall (not HIPS/click-deny-all-the-time roundup), then no, not that I'd know of. :doubt:

Thanks. I have no ability to design and run a test. I will have to rely on others. At this time I am using PC Tools firewall. Hope it works.:)

    PS
WOW, PC Tools took a dive from the previous test I saw where it was 100%. Now it is poor. Maybe the Windows 7 firewall is as good. So this is what average users, like me, face when choosing security. How could the PCT firewall show such a great change? It doesn't make sense.

I have to admit that it is difficult to believe that the firewall in the Avira suite is essentially useless.

    Regards,
    Jerry

I think it'd be terrific if Matousec refused to test everything. ;)

Why would you test it ? It's nothing more then another UAC in Windows 7.
