Nice film there if you want to learn about Mark's tools and dealing with malware, he goes on to talk about deleting the malware and alittle on rootkits and antirootkits - he's such a good teacher. I have all the Dave Solomon and Mark Russinovich 'Tour of the Sysinternals Tools' from the Sysinternals video library which are also very good and very well presented.

MS TechNet is an excellent online resource.

The guy doing the presentation, looked both extremely scared and sometimes on the verge of tears, when he started talking about rootkits.I don't blame him though, their scary now, and they could get alot worse.Who wants a virus nothing can see or detect on their PC ? No one of course :cautious:

but i prefer not installing tons of diff browser add-ons, flash is pretty universal.

It unfortunately dominates, I'm hoping more and more people use Silverlight. 1 program dominating is always bad.

maybe, if only other vendors culd create variants of flash and it wasnt only adobe, that way we culd keep the same media viewing standard and not have to use several diff products.

Too bad this has turned into a Silverlight discussion. The video was really interesting and I learned about features in Process Explorer that I was not aware it was capable of.

Apologies, but back on topic, I also viewed the video and can agree, it was very helpful.

I see it when it came out, as you can see from the malware sample SpySherriff it's an older video but current and am sure it's been posted here before.
    Here's a list of Mark's webcasts.

I see down the bottom MS are giving away the 'Tour of the Sysinternals Tools' first video, as I said before from Mark and Dave Solomon also of 'Windows Internals' fame and offering the set at a discount.
