Mark Partition as inactive

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    I inadvertently marked a partition as active using Disk Management in XP Pro's Computer Management. Is there any way to change the partition to "inactive"? The drive is an external drive. It doesn't have anything but media files on it. It has only one partition.

    You might try using Disk Director to convert the Partition to a logical Partition. If it only contains media files it doesn't need to be a primary. Only Primary Partitions can be set to active.
