This is the only forum that I have ever visited that asks me "Are You Sure?" when I press the "Mark Forums Read" button.

Seriously. If I click the "Mark Forums Read" button, then I am sure.
It is not a serious operation that I am doing that warrants the question "Are You Sure?".

Can that question be turned off please?

Speaking personally I am really glad it asks if I am sure.

Often I only want to mark a certain area of the forums as read eg. Update Alerts and not the whole of the forum.

It's painful to have to go through the whole forum to read 'new to me' posts if I have marked ALL forum read in error.

+1. I also like the fact that I'm able to select whether I like so mark all forums as read or only current. If we would be able to configure in settings which option we want, than additional question would not be necessary.

What a completely useless prompt this is.
I've never seen an "Are you sure" for marking Forums read before.
