I can use Avast for free, and others advertised as free, but for some reason I feel bad downloading this for free. :doubt:

Mamutu still light as ever on resources?

Hi, Firzen, no, I just had it in standard mode. I've learned over time that paranoid mode for any app is generally a bad idea
    :D

I still don't know what happened with it, I did a complete uninstall/reinstall and it didn't act like that anymore. I have a strange computer when it comes to security applications, I always have. In any case, my posts weren't meant to be a knock on Mamatu or any app like it, they just never work out for me (so far) and honestly I haven't felt a real need for them yet.

Running Mamutu with Prevx and OA Premium. Talk about overkill :D.

Well, we have a lot of driveby infected sites here in Denmark ATM, and i really don`t want to be hit by those nasties.

Is Mamutu as light as Prevx? I'm using nod32+Prevx, should I install Mamutu too?

Mamutu is as light as Prevx IMO. Probably a little overkill with Mamutu, but who am i to judge :D. It won`t eat your ressources, and it`s a valuable layer.

No license yet... only the pdf for the buy. :thumbd:
nevertheless - if nothing is send i care as much i care of ThreatFire which
slows also down my system with secure settings (not default).

Did you use this mail address before?
If so, install Mamutu, login with email and password and your license will be there.
If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new one here:
    http://www.emsisoft.com/en/support/codelost/

    Cheers

i already own an account at emsisoft - i tried mamutu a year ago and
    testet a² before that.

strange - no email - nothing - only the info now that Mamutu is valid till 8/2010.
i had some trouble about the payment due the label "abonnement" wether i
chosed "paypal" or "buy" - always same dialog. The conditions (AGB)
sell me another abo when the year is over and i read nothing against it.
Is the abo automatically stopped when my license year is over?

PS i wanted a proper compare for me between threatfire and mamutu without
any problems after 30 days. i dont own that much email-adresses ;)

BTW thanks for the hint to have a look im my cc.

It's automatically assigned to your account and Mamutu Promos start with the day you have ordered the key.

Take a look at the mail from Emsi, there you can cancel the auto-renewal at any time.

    Cheers

I have a really quick question. Isn't mautu included in A2 as the IDS under the main menu? Or is mamutu seperate from A2?

After reading all the rave reviews on Mamutu I decided to take advantage of this great offer.
Once I down loaded and installed Mamutu the problems began.

The PC took twice as long or more to boot. My icons in the system tray were gone except for Avast and ZA Pro. I lost around eight other icons.

I tried re booting three or four times and got the same result each time.

I then uninstalled Mamutu and the problems persisted even after three or four more re boots.

Luckily I have First Defense ISR. I booted into another snapshot and copied that snap shot to my primary snap shot, and I think all is well again.

Just wanted to let others know of my experience.

Probably conflicted with one of my other programs.

    sorry - i dont - i'm just a regular user.
The part which reacts like Mamutu is part of a2, idd.
thats ok and expected - but the info came 2 days later - that was the only point for me.
    i will do so, thx.

    #
i did - i clicked the link in that email and got same page where i read the affirmation
for the buy - if i want to cancel the abo i need to click the last link in box.
i did that once before and only got a confirmation - the license is still untouched
    in my account.

i hope i get a remember mail when the year is over - the last license for a2
    had no auto renewal.

PS Mamutu is installed and working - working smoother than ThreatFire so far
(with all options ON incl "paranoid" mode ^^) so :thumb:

I was using NAV2009+OA Premium and added Mamutu. It was overkill for me.
Mamutu started eating icons from my systray. :D

I would like to use Mamutu, but it seems I cannot. :'(

Everything back to normal after uninstalling Mamutu.

No HIPS for NAV. NIS has something more to offer.

I got fixed Mamutu now. One boot only though. If all stays ok, Mamutu will stay.
