I suppose you disabled avast's behaviour blocker when running mamutu? Is this 1 year subscription or lifetime?

It needs to be installed at the giveaway period only otherwise the license or the setup will not work for full version, thats too bad for me anyways I can't say anything as they are giving it for free. Thanks for the news anyways might help some fellow members;)

In my lap have worked together - Avast 6 Free (all shields enabled) + Mamutu + OA Free (with enabled HIPS)...everything was smooth and light :)
    About license and restriction

Nice offer from Emsisoft again, thanks!
Mamutu can be had for free for years in a row, if you watch the right fora/threads. :)

And it's probably not a good idea to use it with AppGuard ? Too much of redundancy here ?

I Guess I will roll with it for a while see how it goes.thanks for the GAOTD heads up.

I wonder if the defaults are good, or does it need tweaking of processe rules.I have trialed in the past and its simple to configure, just not sure if needed.

I unchecked rule number 4 in the snapshot (counting top to bottom).
All the rest is OK by default.

I would think so but I am not too familiar with AppGuard. Maybe someone using AppGuard will post a response if they have used it in combo with Mamutu.

Thanks. I will probably install Mamutu on its own test-snapshot to see how it works and to keep this license handy, for if ever I need it in this next year.

This is true, but once you have set it up, Emsisoft stores your license info and you can uninstall the program and reinstall the version from their website at any time during the license period (1 year), log in with your account ID and password and Mamutu will be fully registered. :)

AFAIK, it only won't receive updates anymore; the whitelisted program sigs + program updates.

You can add the coupon code to your existing account without installing.

I did that, and now I two overlapping licenses. :D

I really can't complain because I got the other one for free, too.

To those unsure about the program.

    A) don't install it if you have too many security programs running, it's overkill
    B) install it if you have a need for it, don't install it just because it's free
    C) give it a try for a few days, and don't panic, default settings are fine as is
