Kinda off topic but I had to throw it in there. Not to diss MBAM because I do love it. I am curious on what the Shurikan is going to detect. I'm pretty happy with the current MBAM so anything else can only be an improvement.

Just wanted to clear a few things up. It is correct that the setting for Shuriken has been included since version 1.46, but it will not actually do anything until we activate it in the database updates. We want to limit false positives when we do release so that is why we have been taking our time and doing it right!

Shuriken will be a multi-purpose heuristics module that, in the beginning, will only add a slight improvement to our detection rates. As time passes, we hope to make it very powerful.

will this new technology be as strong as an antivirus when it comes to viruses?
i ask cause i saw/read in a retail box the word antivirus
after this is improve do we still need to run an antivirus solution?

Oh I can't wait! I already think that MBAM is a great addition to my AV. it will be totally ~ Snipped as per TOS ~ when shuriken is anabled.

Hmmm still it will take time for them to release a solution that is same as an AV but I still prefer the free version. Its one of the best tools to remove viruses from an infected computer.

It only provides Real-Time and IP blocking feature which I don't prefer. I use MBAM only for scanning that too when I feel. Otherwise its just installed in my system. Even more I use it on some of my clients computer for malware removal(For some money ofcourse:cool: ). All this requirements comes in free version:)
