Does anyone here know if MBAM remains active and the license unaffected after re-imaging the drive ?

It doesn't go by hardware or some such aggressive measure like Windows will I don't think. It only worries about the proper registration and a legitimate key, and many have had to re-install it on new drives/computers ((myself included)). As long as you have the ID and license key you were given when you purchased it, and you're not running a single-license install on multiple systems at the same time, you're in the clear.

Well, I pulled the trigger.
My first software purchase in over two years; this was too good to miss.

I plan to give the AVG license to a good friend who's needing an antivirus program.
