A lot of the changes on the way this and next year will be under the hood, you wont see those but you will "feel" them. In reality there is no such thing as engine that is "done", we can always make the actual engine smarter.

We've been very busy and most of our resources are being spent on the next version of MBAM. Not sure when a public beta will be ready but I'll certainly stop by and post about it when a beta is available.

I'm currently working on a Forum special that we hope to post in the next couple of days so keep an eye out for that too.

Thanks AdvancedSetup. Great to hear. Look forward to your beta announcement and the Forum Special -- which if I understand it correctly is an opportunity for Wilders members to get MBAM at a reduced price.

    All good.

Taking a look at the last two MRG tests (time to detect), Malwarebytes scored 245/250 and 291/300. This is a tremendous result for software that doesn't claim to be a full malware solution.

Not exactly but there is a possibility for some users. If all goes well I'll be posting the details by noon tomorrow.

Something a bit new for us but we hope to do more in the future as well.

    Cheers

Contest closes today and still one category that no one has entered in. Odds are pretty high to win that one if anyone does enter that category.

Again, good luck to all and Happy Halloween.

No word yet but I don't think the public beta will be out for a while still so hang in there.

Will there be any performance enhancements done to MBAMs background processes?

Last time I checked, MBAM was using quite a bit of memory.

I don't think it's using too much memory and further I don't understand this compulsion to always keep an application's memory usage as low as possible, unless it's really off the chart and slowing down contemporary hardware. Memory is there to be used and requests like these will only encourage vendors to apply methods which actually slow you down, just to make those happy, who are looking at memory consumption all the time.
