So MBAM has been a favorite of mine now for years. I have it on multiple computers and have 'sold' others on the value of MBAM.

One of the great things about MBAM is the constant product development and improvement.

And the guys at MBAM have been very busy.

In addition to MBAM, there is now... MBAE, MBAR, MBAM Mobile, MBAM Backup, MBAM Business, MBAM Enterprise, MBAM Techbench, MBAM Chameleon, MBAM Earthworm...

But there is no apparent evidence of a beta for a new version of MBAM... no chatter about new developments of the main product.

Is the Flagship product getting pushed aside for all the 'new and exciting' stuff?

Has the MBAM staff started to take for granted what put them on the map?

Are the MBAM guys resting on their laurels -- happy with the way things are?

Have the MBAM guys gotten distracted -- as there are many beautiful women in both San Jose and especially in Estonia.

    What's up with all that?

    -Loyal MBAM guy Frank

so then it's true that it's better to stay away from products with lifetime licenses? :p (with the exception of tzuk's legendary sandboxie)

are you sure? i recently bought a lifetime license for a friend of mine.

EDIT: just checked it out, and sadly noticed that it's discontinued.
well, good for my firend that he got it before it got discontinued. :thumb:

on the other hand, it just happens to show that sandboxie will never fall from grace, since it's not offered with a lifetime license anymore. :p

Is the OP experiencing any issues that he thinks an update might fix? Or is he just wanting an update so he can say "it updated"?

MBAM Pro is on all of my computers. When MBAM outperforms full AV/AMs in detection, and is used by AV/AMs in removal... it's hard to argue that there is not a potential benefit to the product.

I think there are still quite a few Sandboxie holdouts around here. I've almost used it several times. But decided against it..

Not true in MBAM's case. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Would you like them to start adding bells and whistles to it just to look busy?:)

Not going to happen, we have good ideas in the pipe, stuff that will improve protection and detection. The free version will be getting better but there are very solid pro only features on the way as well.

Great to hear. I have no doubts that if the current version needed an update to fix any issues, you guys would have done it long ago. Nothing worse than watching a great piece of software turn into something else, because the dev thinks that adding "stuff" will somehow make it better. avast! and all of their "shiny new tools" comes to mind. If I want a browser clean up tool, I will download one. If I want a software update tool, again, I will download one.

I really hope you guys just leave well enough alone, and let the other companies screw up their product with cool, new updates.
