    Hello Krusty13:

My ping's 500ms time results, through Sydney and Melbourne connected locations, along with no packet losses is well within the range of reasonable expectations.
If the above were the ping results from only one system, would you please try the same ping test from your other computers and let us know.

    Thank you.

This for completeness is from the machine with Windows Defender and the free version of MBAM.

    Hello Krusty13:

The common point of failure now seems to have landed on your router. You have posted previously that you power cycled your router (and systems) and by definition, that amounts to rebooting your router. I too would have done precisely the same thing.

However, it would seem that your router might now be in need of a factory reset. As a factory reset will restore all configuration parameters back to original factory settings, you would do well to first log into the router and record all the present settings you have changed since the router's original installation.

The following will give you generalized router information: http://setuprouter.com/networking/how-to-reset-your-router/

However, nothing quite compares to the manufacturer's reset instructions for your particular router model/revision.

    Cheers.

I really wasn't expecting the problem being my router as per - #271

I have gone one step further and changed my router to another completely different brand. This, as expected, has made absolutely no difference. 1PW, please remember that I have had no trouble accessing any websites and can happily update Windows, Norton, SpywareBlaster and SuperAntiSpyware, can download all emails and RSS feeds. The only problem I'm having is MBAM.

This site is also saying http://data-cdn.mbamupdates.com is currently down.

    http://currentlydown.com/data-cdn.mbamupdates.com

While it is great that you guys who have posted here have no problem I don't believe I'm alone. Oh, on a clean install of Windows 10 on one machine I can't even download MBAM because the site times out.

    Thanks.

Thanks bidd! That does make me feel better.
Thanks kaljukass, but unfortunately I cannot access any of those URLs.

I do have a copy here I could install but not much point if I can't update it.

It sounds like a problem with your ISP, as the links are working for me.

Yes Roger, that thought has crossed my mind. I wouldn't be surprised if Telstra were to blame.

I can't access http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mbam_rules from my mobile either, also with Telstra but not connected to my home network.

@bidd , who is your ISP, if you don't mind me asking?

    Hello Krusty13 and bidd:

Your observations certainly make sense now.

    Good luck with your ISP(s).

    Hello Krusty13 and bidd:

For the benefit of others, please update this thread when you believe your ISP's issues have been resolved.

    Thank you.

Well, the plot thickens. I've found out this morning that I also cannot download Norton Utilities 16. If I type www.norton.com/nu16 then press Enter I am taken to a Support page with a link to download NU16, but just like MBAM, It will not even attempt to download. IE 11 gives a HTTP 500 error.

There are quite a few reports of my ISP having connection issues across the country so I'm wondering if they are restricting access to certain CDNs. Would they do that? Why?

    Hi Oz Bad Cat,

It looks like your other machines def's are a couple of days old too.
