Has anyone purchased this and tried it with its protection module. If so, how much memory does the module use, what does it protect you from, etc.?

    gerardwill,

What are your thoughts about Malwarebytes Anti-Malware? Is it worth spending money on, better than other options, etc.?

It is running very light with the monitor on (12 Mb). I can't answer your question regarding spending money, that is a private matter.
I am not sure if there is a trial, if so just try it and find out yourself.
I am a happy camper with it.

    Gerard,

Their website mentions that it is a generic scanner (with off course innovative and advanced techniques).

Could you tell us what the scanner reports (memory/modules/registry/files/mbr), as being scanned?

Any idea how much generic patterns the data base has got at teh moment?

    Regards Kees

I'm interested in trying this one, however I have one question to people using this: how invasive this is? By that I mostly mean does this install/use it's own SERVICE (this seems to be the trend nowadays) and how easy this would to uninstall. I have happily gone over a year w/o doing a Windows re-install and I ain't gonna deviate from that path anytime soon :)

    -Why should someone use it?
-Does it offer more protection than what
SAS, AVG AS, Spyware Doctor do?
I prefer -even Spybot S&D- over it.

It's another free scanner with respectable detection/removal capabilities.
    What version of Spyware Doctor?
    Why?
