Upon reading more, it looks like one needs to download:

    1. VIPRE Rescue (creates a temporary folder to extract the files)
    2. Malwarebytes (install the program)

I thought it was more unified - one program or even something that would not require to install which MB is requiring.

    Any thoughts? :doubt:

I see this as a good thing. According to the Sunbelt blog this is only the start, and from the way its worded is sounds link they also will be sharing details on threats to improve both products. I see this as a good thing for both company's.

Slightly off topic but nevertheless important IMHO:

As far as I understand it, for the moment this is about the VIPRE Rescue Program from the side of Sunbelt.

I have used that one and posted a thread about it some months ago:
    VIPRE Rescue Program

The question which I posted there: what to do in the mere hypothetical circumstance that the Vipre Rescue Program has been giving a false positive.
From the answer from NickHSunbelt in that thread I understand that you need VIPRE on that computer or on another computer to restore such a 'false positive' file from the quarantine.

At least they didn't combine to form a suite. I would sadly uninstall my MBAM and move on. This is how it starts though. "Recommending each other".
