Anyone having the problem of Malwarebytes beta suddenly saying it can't activate your license? It was working normally until yesterday...

Just adding that returning to version 2 the same key activates normally with no error.

When I booted up my computer this morning, my Malwarebytes reverted back to version 3.0.0 and the license was missing. Look a couple of messages up for a link and instructions to the 3.0.3 install.

The only problem I've been having with 3.0.3.1245 is on startup, I get a popup, real time protection not started.

    A couple of issues:

BottomUp ASLR Enforcement for MS Office doesn't allow a clean version of Excel 2010 to run, and I still have to disable Anti-Heap Spraying Enforcement to allow Firefox to run.

Can you send me a copy of the service log?

Hi, I stopped using Malwarebytes long ago despite a subscription but wanted to give the latest beta a whirl. MB and Firefox promptly froze solid until I remembered you incorporated the anti-exploit. It disabled almost a minute after I clicked it in the interface, accompanied by an annoying flyout, Since I have HMP Alert, this was interfering and it was a chore getting something to un-stick and move on. I guess it doesn't make sense to renew a subscription if the scanner itself is the only thing you're interested in. On the plus side, scan was rapid-- night and day compared to the clunky, resource-chewing MBAM of yore. It's not too fast, is it? Detections matter most.

Not the best initial experience but I'll keep reading here, maybe future updates will be better. Thanks.

Beta 3 is a mess for me.

    Too many problems to report.

I will wait for the real thing.

We were able to get scan speeds down without affecting detections by optimizing quite a few things in the engine and then adding multi-threading.

If you turned off the anti-exploit in MB3, everything worked fine (aside from the notifications, of course)?

Could you elaborate? I'd like to make sure we're prioritizing the issues as we're getting closer to a release.

Hi, were you responding to me, I hope? :) Yes, of course it worked very well. No problems with activation either on version 3.03. A standalone version of your scanner would be great, no messing around with exclusions, disabling, etc.

Edit: re: activation, on one page it says "trial license" and on another, the correct "expires in xxx days" is displayed. To me, this is minor, but there should be consistency with license details across the board.

Re-edit: The scanner ran very well with the AE module disabled. The interface continued to freeze and was difficult to manipulate. There will be those who have a standalone software that will conflict with one or more of your modules. There should be a switch or something, it can be confusing and alarming to have a sudden complete freeze of your desktop apps and no idea at first what is causing it.

When a toaster notification warns about a blockage, I need an extra button to avoid copy-paste a line or even typing, prone to errors:

This way if I click on "Add blocked to exclusions" button two choices can show up:
    1. To add site or exe to exclusions
    2. To silent this specific warning.

I had this happen the first time I booted the PC today. IIRC the UAC dialog referred to MBAM Assistant. The system was generally unresponsive and required a restart; everything was fine afterward and the UAC prompt from MBAM didn't recur.

We took that out on purpose as many users who didn't understand the block would simply exclude legitimate detections and this could get them infected.

Well, I wonder whether a showy warning could do the job after clicking the button?

Is the Not Protected warning for when Exploit Protection is disabled adjustable now?

Is this beta more compatible with HMP.A?

There should be no license issues. If you have some, shoot me a message.

Should be, unless you're on beta 1, then the warning holds.

Umm, @RubbeR DuckY , you seem to of ignored missed my questions.

    Thanks.

Edit: "Is the Not Protected warning for when Exploit Protection is disabled adjustable now?"

    NO!

The scan schedule is still in US format and it STILL TOOK THREE UAC PROMPTS to install.

Right click > Run as Admin = having to restart Windows Explorer.

Right click > Run as Admin = Norton prompt, then nothing.

Right click > Run as Admin = finally installed.

Clearly still not ready for release.
