I don't know if you need glasses now, but surely, at later age you will if you keep at 800x600. And you should be greatful if glasses is all that you will need.

It's freaking small because you have to change the DPI! Right click on desktop---> properties--> settings ---> advanced --> DPI setting: Large (120 DPI).

Do the rest too (refresh 60Hz) and set resolution. It most probably ask for a reboot. Only AFTER reboot you will have the resolution and font size as it is supposed to be.

And if you have 17 to 19, i repeat that most probably, your native resolution is 1280x1024, not 1024x768. You must check your monitor specs.

And increase the DPI! Then reboot!

32 bit colour (must be the "true colour" if memory serves me). The 16 bit colours are remnants of the era when people had 2 and 4MB VGA cards, so going for 32bit colour was eating too much RAM on the VGA. Today PCs should ALL run with 32bit colour.

For a few days, it will look strange to you. But after you 're used to it, you will see that it's not tiring and on the contrary, if you switch to 800x600 you will notice the bluriness and the loss of detail. For example seeing a photo at native resolution and then switching to 800x600, will make you see what you were losing all this time and the damage you did to your eyes.

Note: everytime you change a display setting, don't forget to hit "apply".

    Thanks!

@all - Here in a nutshell is a MAJOR reason why I prefer MD over all other HIPS. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I am not sure about the reason. I cannot reproduce the problem yet.

I got some reports about system hang/high cpu usage problems in a Chinese forum before. But almost all the problems related to a patch :)

My computer got the blue screen of death, and rebooted. I had to remove it. I'm sure its a compatibility problem. Most likely with Online Armor. I was really pushing my luck trying to run both of these HIPS together. I though i would give it a try anyways. I've had the same result with 2.0.1, 2.0.2, and 2.0.3. I'm getting a new machine next week, and i will run MD on it. I do believe MD is a great program though.

You guys are showing two different sides to MD which for some readers can't help but prove confusing at best.

Some say GREAT! Others screech their getting BSOD's or other issues. (high CPU useage comes to mind.
