We have a Citrix XenApp farm running with two Windows 2003 Servers with ESET NOD 32 Business 4.0 running. What happens is each time any user logs into server via the ICA client, ekern.exe starts up. When 15 users log in at the same time, this causes major performance issues. Is there a way to configure ESET to only run once as a system processes, and not run the ekern.exe for each user?

I would run Version 3.0.695.0 on the server to be honest. Plus I would try disabling the startup scanner portion in ESET to see if that reduces lag. It will however disable a layer of protection for ESET...

I stick with 2.7 on servers still.....3 and 4 bring too much slowdown.

3.0 right now works very well for me on all servers.... I have 2.7 on a couple even 2008 Server, and they run fantastic.
