    I just downloaded the trial version of Echo server, but somehow I cant get it to see my Quantum LTO-3 tape drive, it simply doesnt show up, it is installed correctly as Windows Backup can see and use it, am I missing something or some drivers under Acronis ?
    Server is 2003 SP1.
    Thanks

    Hello duffy90210,

    Thank you for your interest in Acronis Corporate Products

    On the machine with the tape drive attached, initialize Removable Storage Management in Windows:

    1. Right-click on My Computer;
    2. Select Manage -> Removable Storage -> Libraries;
    3. Right-click on the entry for the tape drive where you want to save the image and set it as 'free'.

    The tape will be initialized and should appear in Backup Wizard.

    Thank you.

    I have also TI 9.1 Server with HP LTO3 drive and it works perfectly.
    Restore with the Acronis boot CD also works without problems.
    The only "issue" is that the initialisation of the tape takes a looooong time. Finding the partition on the tape takes approx. 30 minutes, then restore is complete in 10 minutes...
