No need to have a back up of the entire hard disk. DS copies the mbr and the partitions structure when you backup a single partition.

Use the backup of the OS that resides on that disk.

in short to restore partitions of 2 disk
i need 2 backups , 1 of one partition of hard disk 1 and 1 of the partition of the hard disk 2 ,right?

    did you test this feature?

    thanks

    Correct.

Off course. You simple select to restore the partition table and then you close DS (no need to restore the backup too). Just pay attention to use the correct backup.

Backup partition table, then you can restore the partition table quickly with just few clicks.

Of course, you can don't backup partition table. PartitionGuru can also find your lost partition.:D

i use partitionguru to restore and it works , i mean my lost partition will appear again ?

    are you sure?
    did you test it?

    Generally, yes.
If you have backup partition table before the partition table was damaged, you can restore the partition table directly. Damage of partition table will not destroy any data.

    partionguru does not install driver.

Your current case is that your harddisk's partition table is damaged, so you backup partition table and restore, the lost partition will not appear, because your current partition table is damaged.

But you can use partionguru to search the lost partitions and restore them.

Read the help file or manual first before you try to use partionguru.

I've never personally needed to recover more than 1 partition with Easeus, however I don't see any reason why not.The readme file and interface cetainly allude to that fact. You have 2 different scanning modes to try.

"The program may find and display intersected volumes, you can choose either of them to recover, but only one of the intersected volumes can be recovered."

This is understandable, intersected volumes occupy the same area of the disk at least partially,so only one can be recovered. That shouldn't prevent you from recovering your disk to the status it was when the error occurred.

Something else you can try is testdisk, it will run from the gparted livecd, or it can run from within windows (runs from the exe file) no installation required. This will work from the worst case scenario. In my case I was resizing partitions on a 400gb hard drive with about 300gb of data, the partition software frozed, when I rebooted, the drive was raw, no data. Testdisk was able to find the partitions and restore all the data, it will take several hours, but it worked. I had to use it twice and it has been reliable.
It's strange to lose only 2 partitions, while the other partitions still work, usually you lose everything at the same time.
but all your data is safe, even if partition is lost, you can still recover data from that area of drive.
